engine plate

well last week i decided to break out the savage from hybernation, anyway i was goin down my driveway close to top speed and it bounced of a rock and did 6 front flips and it was freakin awesome:ahh:. but i didn't have the body on so it smashed the top of the motor and cracked the whole engine plat in half. so i was wondering if there is any companies that sell a heavy duty plate besides hpi?

Check Fastlane Machine, doesn't say heavy duty but it is billet machined which is stronger than stock. Integy has one and I'm sure there are others.

shouldnt the roll bar and engine guard protect that? U should have seen wat i did. i WAS GOING FULL SPEED ONTO A JUMP the truck when front first into the ground and u can imageine from then like 20 front flips like crazy and lands on it wheels and KEEPS ON GOING! I was so surpried. Then i did it again

Ya that carrying handle...don't really see a purpose for that, other than stability for the body and that so-called engine protector that HPI gives you with it...what is that, it goes around the engine and still leaves it totally exposed to rocks, debris, etc. Besides, whats wrong with getting a few dints, scrapes, and scratches on the head??? seriously.

Drive it like you stole it! (its fun fixing them anyway)

It's there to help cushion a direct impact. Plastic compresses so if you do land on the head, it helps to absorb some of the force so you don't snap your engine plate, crankcase or head fins.

i wish i knew that out of the box. landed directly on the engine head, now the engine is 2mm downfacing and rubs on my disc brake =(

+1 for the rollbar... great thing them.
