Engine Misfiring?

Hi guys i was driving my buggy today when it started making funny sounds in the middle of the rpm range, it sounded like it was misfiring cause it would stop blowing out smoke for just a split second then continue with the trail of smoke?

Have any of you guys had this problem? ifso how do you fix it?

Is it just a bad glowplug?

Sounds either too rich or lean. I know that doesn't give you much, but to me, it just sounds like an off tune.

Does it hesitate and slow down quickly when this is happening or just slow down slowly and run rough?

it sounds like its to lean. cause i ran mine one time when to lean and it started backfiring

well i was running it rich then but i leaned it out today to a race tune and it was still backfiring/misfiring during the top end and mid end range. i dont know what it could be. maybe a hotter plug?

mine also did the same. and it was junk and wore out!

like otherwise it runs like a champ its just backfiring/misfiring. but sometimes it does hesitate to take off when its been idleing for about 5 seconds plus. otherwise its pretty smooth

Really, the only engine I've ever had that did what yours is doing was an Axial 28 S1. POS didn't run right after about 3/4 gallon was through it... Even sent it back the the manufacturer. They switched out the front bearing and said there wasn't anything wrong with it, but it didn't help. Never found a good tune for it and eventually sold it as a parts engine.

You have an air leak no doubt. Find it. My trusty Trinity .21 did the same thing to me the other day. Turned out the HSN O-ring had shredded a bit and a piece of the O-ring was down around the needle point. Cleaned it off and it ran like it used too, perfect.
