engine issues

i bought a thunder tiger EB4 - S2 pro for £20 that looks like it has had the engine recently replaced

I'm having some issues with the engine over half throttle

the engine is a ansmann racing .21 i stripped the engine down and checked it and it looks fine, when its running it idles fine and runs fine up to half throttle then it cuts out

its a pig to start at first but after its been running for a couple of minuets it starts easily

what i want to know is could these issues be caused by a new engine that needs breaking in ?

i changed my fuel line today as i noticed a split in the line but it still cuts out i checked all the engine settings and they are set @ factory i think can't make heads or tails of ansmann`s instructions

any help is appreciated

also what are good break-in settings for this AR .21

Sounds like the HSN is too lean.

thanks thats what i was kinda thinking i but it is set at ansmanns setting i will richen it out and post back tomorrow

ok i richened it out as much as it could go and it still cut out at over half throttle i even changed the pressure line from the exhaust and changed the exhaust gasket to make sure it was sealed properly,

i managed to get it to start properly it idles fine and runs up to half throttle ok i did notice as a lack of smoke from the exhaust no matter the needle settings & throttle,

could the HSN needle be damaged or could i be missing something ? i will post pics of engine if it will help assembled and disassembled

Sounds like a leak in the exhaust or tank cap maybe. Definitely a leak somewhere.

Since I'm awake 12.30AM i just checked the fuel tank and its pressurizing and holding pressure with no leaks, the exhaust is secure the gasket is new fitted it before trying to run it today, & the exhaust couplings ect are all nice and snug,

Also i did say about a lack of smoke from the exhaust and by that i mean a complete lack of smoke ie there is no smoke from the exhaust so what would that mean ?

I have tried the stock settings recommended by ansmann also i have tried richening it out to the max and no change could this just be a problem engine i know i must be missing something and i bet its going to be something simple :\

i have also checked the glow plug and that is also fine I'm using 25% nitro fuel if that has any thing to do with it same stuff i use for my HPI F4.6 in my kryptonite.
