just wondering would the Dynamite Platinum .21XP work in a t maxx and if so, what all would i need to get it in and running right ?

It wouldn't drop in, needs a BB conversion kit. Can you even get one with a pull-start? If not, then I don't know how you'd get it to work even with a BB conversion kit.

this one will drop in though correct ?

Dynamite Mach 2 .21

Nope. Also a big block.

Needs to be a t-maxx/revo specific engine and labeled as such if your looking for somethign that will fit without a whole lot of effort.

What do you have now? May be easiest just to get a TRX 3.3.

with a big block all i need is the new motor mount ? i will be upgrading stuff as i go but to get the motor in and hooked up it would just need a mount correct ?

No, you need a chassis conversion kit as well. That is if you go with a true big block. Will also need to upgrade pretty much your entire driveline if you have an older 2.5 maxx. Gets pretty cost prohibitive pretty quick. By the time you get the engine, conversion kit, cvd's... you could have just bought a new savage or something else with a BB already in it.

grrrr ok

i have the t maxx 2.5 but i have the extended frame (3.3 i think) that i have polished. i want to throw the bigger motor in it and have both frames i can work with.

which frame would i need to use ?

that chassis says it takes .21 engines or small blocks...

Which .18?

The TM doesn't exist anymore, the OS 18 CV-R(X) requires a new header/pipe and a clutch adapter nut. The TZ won't drop in either, since the only one with a PS has a rotary carb, would require rotary carb linkage, a new header and clutch adapter nut.
