engine hangs even when rich

Make sure the linkage collar isn't tight against the throttle servo horn. That will make it so the throttle can't close all the way, which renders the spring useless for closing the throttle. You may be able to back off the trim just a little on your radio too.

Thanks mate. I'll give it a go.

my collar isn't tight against the servo horn either i think I'm just going to have to live with it. what is the minimum gap for idle cause i think i might try and re-adjust that again

How fast is the servo? With the engine not running, go WOT then let off and see how fast it closes. I had my throttle servo on my Nitro Rustler "lagging", I had to take it apart a clean it and it sped it up. I'm just reaching here so.....maybe it'll help.

Just to update my situation.

I had a crack along my HSN which I never saw. Obviously this would pull air in and probably the reason I have had to compensate with making it so rich. Could also be my reason for the idle hanging. The engine is on its way back to me now, when I've had chance to run it again, I'll update this thread.
