Anyone know if the wasp .26 will go right in the monster gt and is this the best choice, the hobby shop recomends the xtm 24-7, I have this in my xtm buggy but i am not sure if it is enough for the M-GT.

If you are running the stock engine, you will need a new engine mount to adapt the new engines. New Era makes a mount for it. I have heard good things about the wasp .26 and picco .26. I really like the NovaRossi TOP .28. Great engine, super low end and high end torque. Most everyone seems to like the Wasp .28. I personally have a sirio .27 racer. I dont think that it was worth that kind of money, but it was around christmas when i bought it, and i have seen them in online store for almost $70 cheaper.

My father has the 24.7 pro in his and it hauls major ass! Has the 18t clutch bell and the stock flywheel. Its fast and has more then enough grunt to pick up the front end. Great engine. He recently picked up the sh .28 same company but has not run it yet.

The sickest engine that all my friends are running is the Picco/Werks P3. .26.
Stock gearing will do much worse then wheelie.
It makes the MGT's go into a violent flip!
These engines have lots and lots of power.
Thats what my choice was going to be, but I choose to be the Collari .30 crash test dummie.
I was first to get it, and they are all waiting for the results.
Friday weather permitting, I'll have a report.

I have the stock engine for my MGT and the New Era mount...if Switch to a bigger engine (.26/.28) do I replace that mount too? or will it work for the bigger engines as well?

Ok My Bros MGT has a 24-7 or pretty much a 25 engine and the stock engine mount fits fine but its a pain in the ass to get the screws back in throught the mount and secured with a nut. I personally would just get the ACNSM mount. I got it on my savage and its awesome!.

that's good to hear...it's only becaused i read somwhere that there are 2 different kinds of new era engine mounts for the MGT/MTa4....one for stock and one for stock and others...now i'm not sure what i have :)
