Engine brand

Hi I have just bought this engine off eBay. It seems to be in ok condition. The only problem I have is I don’t know what brand it is. Any help is much appreciated.

What about this engine gives you the impression that it's in "ok condition"?

The nitro RC engine doesn't look familiar to me. Have you tried contacting the seller?

The seller also didn’t know. It has plenty compression and has just fired up without much trouble

I have seen that engine before on a buggy that I had worked on for somebody ,
it was a long time ago ,but ,I think the buggy was a Cen brand.

I could be wrong!

Thanks. It was cheap enough so not too bothered about it not being a top brand. Would just help with buying parts when needed.

Well ,Cen is kind of a house whole name ,they are still around I believe ,that particular engine was used in
the RTR models an is common!

The engine ,if not a Cen ,I still know its a common engine for RTR models ,but I think it is from
an older model.
I think Cen still makes the Matrix buggy ,an may still use that type of engine!

The plastic back plate reminds me of the XTM 24.7 engines I used to run back in the day. Was the only engine I have ever seen/had that had a plastic back plate.

I am 99% positive that that is an sh21 engine. I’ll send you a picture of mine tommorow. Mine also has a plastic backplate.

Can't say I'd spend that much on one though...
