When installing a new wrist pin with clips, do you use one on each end? Or just one? If only 1, then should it be on the opposite side of the exhaust port (wrist pin lines up with mine). Mucho Grasis for any info.

It depends on the engine. Some only need one on one side. If you can slide the pin through both sides of the piston, then it needs one on both sides.

I actually had an engine that didn't use any clips. There was a ceramic bead on the end of the wrist pin that would actually rub on the sleeve. Orion wasp 18. I couldn't believe it! The engine ran great though...

Looking at another motor I figured it out. The only problem I have now is trying the get the damm wrist pin clip in.

Small needle nose... and a lot of patience.

Isn't it odd that when the things we work on that are small require more patience than the things that aren't?

Oh, and be ready to hunt for it for 20 minutes in the carpet when it shoots out, hits you in the eye and you throw the engine during a stream of swear words you didn't know you knew... and it lands in the carpet. (I think that's when the patience comes in to play ;) )
