i s there a way to get my e maxx to do at least 45- 50 mph under 250 bucks

Good luck. I run simple 5000 6 cells and two 550 mods. This got 'er up to 35mph, 40 downhill. These together cost a little over $100. If you have lipo equipment already(charger and/or balancer, packs ect...) you might be able to. Starting at scratch, let me know. What E Maxx do you have?

i got the 14.4 but i bought a velineon brushless cus i figured more power so it should be able to push the maxx but I'm hearing it wont so I'm kinda pissed i gotta mail it back

Well, you could always get another and do what this guy did. I know others say that two Brushless systems running at the same time doesn't work or sync together but many have doubled the Velineon on the 1/8th scale traxxas with success.

Heads up though, if you have the old E-Maxx ya better change the gears in the diffs and change the drive shafts.

Also you'll have to revers the blue and yellow on one of the motors so they turn the same direction the gearing requires.

i keep getting tol sthe velineon is to small but i see all thee guys running them single on the e maxx and having no problem

It would be very convenient to switch to a single motor brushless setup. Here's a trick to help ya with battery life and motor wear(heat, basically). Put the esc where the receiver is and vise versa. This will get rid of a ton of motor lead you don't need. It makes spur/ pinion maintenance a little easier, too. No wires in the way. You won't see much of a performance increase, but your motors and batteries will stay a lot cooler. The batteries I was talking about are actually 4500's. They really woke it up, even with the stock motors. What are you currently running for batts?

Don't run seven cell packs on a 14.4 esc. Step up to some high mah 6 cells, get rid of the 2 feet of extra wire and switch to bigger pinions. This would improve your trucks performance 10 fold. Or save up and do a brushless conversion. Be ready to upgrade every part of the drivetrain, too! Really all depends on how much you want to spend. My E Maxx is faster than my 2.5 T Maxx after the cheap changes I made to it. Now I have to trade my engine in for a 3.3! Good luck to ya.

What he said. I run 2 4200 6 cell in mine and it will scoot! Though it is out of comission right now. Fried the rear diff.

My bud has those 3800's; He can blow the stock rear driveshafts off without the truck moving 5 ft(It's locked). It's pretty funny. Happened on accident the first time. Then he had to show me. He stepped up with some 3.3 carriers and driveshafts. I'll tell ya, my motors and esc are thanking me for moving the receiver to the rear. They run much cooler.
