will the easy start 1 do the same thing as the easy start 2? all they had at the hobby shop today was the ez start 1 so we got it but it wouldn't fit right into the truck. i have the ez start two but it wont light the glow plug. would it be better just to use a glow starter with the ez start 2, or just buy a new easy start.

Are you talking about the switch box with the wire leads to the plug, vs. the one in the hard case?
They both work the same. There's a component in them that often fails that sends the power to the glow plug. The EZ Start still works but needs a glow ignitor.

I prefer it that way. The EZ Start battery lasts longer since no power is drained to heat the plug.
Also, with an external heater, your plug is hot before the engine starts turning over. It will give you more consistent starting.
