Well, I picked up a Slayer but I am not a Nitro fan, so I will be doing another nitro conversion like I did with the Jammin CRT.5 . The Slayer will be here next week. I have been told that a Tekno Brushless conversion kit for a Revo will work with the Slayer, I guess we will see. You guys got any input ?

What is the difference between a Slash and a Slayer other than the motor obviously? I'm just wondering, why not buy a Slash and do the conversion on it? Either way I bet it'll be a bad-a** rig.:)

It will work fine. Tekno now market them for the Slayer as well.

You have a PM.

The slash is a 2 wheel drive electric rig, similar to a rustler. The Slayer is a 4 wheel drive nitro rig, that's setup with similar drivetrain and chassis/suspension to the revo, there's a lot of difference between the two. I'm also planning a brushless conversion.

Chip already has a badass brushless slash, it's time to move up in the world lol.

I have a Brushless Slash now, but it's only a 2wd which sucks.

I will take it IF eveything is there. LMK

Everything the kit came with is there.

not sure if anyone has seen a Revo 2.5 conversion but here is one.

I had planned on turning my 2.5 Revo into a brushless Slayer, but decided I wanted to build another crawler instead. Since I already had the Tekno kit, all I needed was the necessary parts from a Slayer which I was going go get on ebay.

I have now sold the Tekno kit to Chip who was also able to help me on a key item I needed for my next crawler build.

I run the same motor in my LSP and it has insane power. Go with at least 8000mah quality lipos. I almost hit 2000 watts with 4s...with 5s 2000 watts was attained. And don't forget a fan for the ESC, that sucker is going to get hot.
