Dang man, where is the constructive criticism and minumum 13 sentence reply?

well i couldn't resist it anymore and i took it out for a spin today. All i can say is i was VERY VERY disappointed in the torque. :(

Then i tightened the slipper. =devil This thing ROCKS!!! I am very happy i went with the 6.5. Its got enough torque to light up all 4 tires from a standstill and enough speed to satisfy me. I would put it in the 45mph range which is perfect IMO for a basher. The LST2 shocks soak up the terrain beautifully and i will be lowering them even more since it seems to be a hair bouncy. Overall its exactly what i was looking for and the only thing i am sad about is the fact that my firestorm won't be getting much love now.

I'll update the thread as i put more on it.

Just as long as you don't turn out like rolex and bling it up and never run it....

i'm not going to abuse it like i do the firestorm but i will certainly run it. I need to find some battery trays for it. I still haven't shimmed the diffs either. It needs a little more work but i really like how it is now.

took it out again today and its now my favorite rc. It gets the power to the ground better than the firestorm and it runs alot cooler too. 13-15lb truck with one motor and 2 2S 8000Hv lipo's. The motor stays very cool and so does the esc. I ran for about 25 minutes today and my batteries went from 8.5 to 8.0 volts. Thats some serious runtime. Still looking for battery trays....

Everyone needs to get a setup like this. Nothing beats taking a big truck out, racing it about and then blowing it off and setting it back on the shelf. No fumes, no tuning, no brake pads, no clutch shoes, no fuel, no throttle linkage adjustment, no glow plugs.

That's what I've been screaming brother!!

I'm surprised you havent sold it yet ..

true. I certainly flip these things on a regular basis. I am satisfied with the ones i have now. TC5, firestorm, and e-savage. The car is a shelf queen, the firestorm is my hardcore basher and the e-savage is my overall powerhouse. I have this old rustler i got from bob24 and i don't know if i want to clean it up and sell it to you or try to jump the pond at work with it.

there is NO way it will make it over. I may try a smaller section of the pond first.

i'm not a big fan of the novak smart stop. I got mine wired in and now it seems like for the first few seconds after i turn it on, it glitches. The truck does't take off or anything but the acceleration is jerky until i get past 5% throttle. After about 30 seconds it goes away and the truck is fine but i just find that strange

There's another cutoff that a lot of guys are running on there crawlers that seems to perform REALLY good, I'll have to do some research and find out about it, because I plan on running it on my comp rig. I'll let you know when I come across it, I saved the information somewhere.

well i knew something had to give. I shattered a rear driveshaft today :)
It was the left rear oddly enough. I am wondering what i should do now. The way i see it, i have 2 choices. I can either upgrade the entire driveline to standard cvd's or i can get the extended arm kit and longer cvd's from generis. What do you guys think i should do?

Here is the mandatory pic. I know its blurry but you get the idea.

Well it's your call. I think you need to decide how much money you want to spend on this. You've passed up the price of a brand new baja, and you're still climbing. I'm into my Revo 1500 deep, and a lot of days I think about the other stuff that I could have bought with that money. It's like you figure if you're going to spend 500 on the motor and batteries, why not spend 150 on the chassis, then you have a carbon fiber chassis, why put a $10 wing on when you could get the best for $60, and so on and so fourth. I'm 1500 into it with more parts to buy before I can begin assembly. I think you need to decide if you want to spend the money for CVD's and have a nice lil driver, or spend thousands on it with no end in site. Personally, I have a long term all out multithousand dollar project, and some other sensible ones that I can drive and beat up on.

I don't know man. The only thing keeping me from the arms is the fact that i truly believe that the longer aluminum arms is going to put immense stress on the plastic bulkhead and possibly snap it with a well placed blow to a wheel. I figure with the same money, i can get full cvd's and quite a bit of spare parts.
