the old motor broke, and a new one replaced it (same traxxas motor), but the top speed are 10-15 km/h slower than before. Any ideas what could be causing it? ESC should be fine.

can be gearing, drive train not rolling smoothly or has resistance, can be a throttle trim or EPA, could be a esc setting issue, like if you are not in Sport mode (100% throttle, training is 50% throttle)

that is what I was thinking about
Less kv equals more low end torque, and less top speed. But also depending on gearing. If OP wants the same speed, maybe try to gear up? Watch motor heat tho.

My old engine was 2200kv and this new is also 2200kv. And ESC is sport mode.

Is the clutch messed with? Is it slipping due to too lose or glazed clutch pads?

So you've had an ESC blow up and now a motor too? That Revo is cursed, man. What are you using to measure the speed difference? Did you change the gearing during the motor replacement?

it's a new car, on the first runs the ESC went out, which, according to the service, managed to break the engine. The engine broke down after a while. However, both are new now. I haven't touched the gearings.

Throttle calibration will probably fix your issue.

this is unbeleviable.. i recalibrated the esc and after that it worked great. The speed grow uo. BUT then the esc gave a dead light AGAIN. I'm starting to get tired of traxxas equipment.

Having over 10 traxxas trucks, there is a reason I ditch stock electronics. Alot more reliable options out there.

No such thing as too big. We call them big blocks. th biggest I have is a tmaxx so I can't help with mixing or matching electronics for a Revo.

Your ESC looks like the one for the XO-1. I believe they need to be unlocked to allow full performance. Not sure if that's your issue or not?

Also the X0-1 ESC is a Castle Creations ESC. I believe you can use Castle link to adjust the ESC settings.

yes it has been in the xo-1 car before. I just put this mamba in the car today but I can't get it to work. Just beebing
