(may as well get all my questions in)

I've read that the E-Maxx will run fine on one motor with a loss in climbing and torque but significantly longer run time.

How do you run it off one motor? Just take one off and go?

I've also read that one brushless motor is as good as two brush motors? Would you need a special setup or just take one off and replace one with a brushless motor?

So you would just take one motor out? You don't have to use some special mounting bracket when running one motor?

I don't see how running one motor could save battery life. One motor would need to push all the weight of the truck. Maybe get two more efficient motors?

You will gain some run time if you run mostly on flat asphalt. Running on rough surfaces will give you less run time, and also reduce the life of the motor.

I wonder if this cold weather is bad for electric trucks?

All I want to know is, why take a motor off? Didn't you pick up the E-Maxx partially because of it's twin motors? When your packs go down it takes about 20 seconds to swap them out and you're off again.

i dont think the electronics would have any problem with the cold, but the plastic will become more brittle and might break more easily....but if your not doing anything to crazy i think it would be fine

Keep the spare batts warm. Being cold reduces their output. The temp has no effect on motors the way it does on nitro engines, so that's no problem.
