+1. I wouldn't want to chance that setup. I can't see the motor lasting very long. Let alone the possibility of over drawing the battery. It looks peppy, but not a whole lot peppier than my brushed Maxx.

Yeah I looked at some brushed maxxes on you tube. I'm gonna get a new evx and two motors for the roller.

all i can say is wow, mines gonna fly. i plugged the castle esc in to do a little adjusting and realised it was only getting 50 percent throttle forward. on 19 volts that was still pretty damn good. that's what it was at when i broke it, it's gonna be ungodly now.
the esc was reversed on the transmitter so forward was revese and reverse was forward when opened the esc, it was only set to 50 percent reverse. i had to reverse the throttle in the esc then on the controller to make it rite. now it's just amazing. baloons the crap out of all 4 tires. hopfully my a arm shows up today so i can test it out.

2revo, remember that the evx2 can handle 12t motors max. Though in my experience, 12 turns is a little too hot. You have to gear pretty low to keep the temps down, and they suck the batteries dry pretty quick. You might want to check into something in the 15-19 turn range. Just wanted to make sure that you know your not stuck with the 23t titians that are stock in an E Maxx.

Yeah, I was wondering if I should get some slightly hotter motors for it.

The stockers leave a lot to be desired. They deliver pretty decent run times though. I think 15 turn 550's would be about the best compromise with brushed motors in a Maxx. My 12t's work great when I run 2.2 wheels/tires. But running anything heavier gets them heated up just a bit more than I like. I can compensate with gearing, but it's about to the point were I'm under gearing to keep the temps down. You could run 15-17 turn motors, gear up a little, and not waste as much battery power with useless motor rpm's.
