Well I have my e-lst2 finished. I have been going through the rx8 settings, and I understand all of them except the advanced timing feature. I have never dealt with timing when it came to electric motors. Can someone either give me a point in the right direction for researching it? or explain what it does and how it affects the load on the motor/esc, and the effects it has on performance?

anyways I got to show off the truck here it is, with a bit of dust on her.. i had to try her out in some gravel.

i only ran it for about 10 min, and not over half throttle (didnt have enough room) but its at 29/63 and the can didnt even get warm still was cold to the touch. One of my set screws is getting stripped. Go figure its the one part I dont think I have spares for... but my E-LST2 roller I just bought is already in the mail so I am just going to wait for that to show before I run it again.

At this gearing with the batteries in front I had ZERO issues with wheelies. I had more issue with body roll on my turns. also the hobby shop did a custom job on my servo linkages for steering.. when I have her apart I will take some pics for you guys.

thanks, I can't wait to put a full pack through her.. got a real busy week but I will try to run her tomorrow (found a set screw).

I can guarantee you that you will have ZERO heat issues using that gearing. I've put quite a few packs through mine on the gearing without any issues. I've been in the process of switching my battery tray to the front as well too see how it handles in comparison to having the mounting tray in the rear but real life drama has caused my project to sit on the desk for days now. :(

As for the timing just turn it to "0". Timing will make the motor spin faster but it also causes extra heat too. I personally dont like using advanced timing unless I'm racing

Well I went to run her today, and I came across a small problem.. for some reason my front center cvd is not sitting in the cup from the tranny... I'm basically on 2wd. I had originally thought the clicking was from the diff... but its from the dogbone clicking on the cup. I am getting the roller in a few days, so I am going to compare them and see where things might be getting hung up.

I tried to take a video today, but my helper forgot his glasses :-/

I had the same issue on my LST2. All I did was loosen the set screw on the front center drive cup and slid it forward an 1/8" then re tightened it. Losi should have lengthened the center cv's an extra 1/4'' to allow for this.

I have to say the most annoying part on this truck is that little hole you have to thread the cvds through and line up on the plates.... that damn thing drives me nutso.. btw stipped a screw on the side rail today drilled it out without damaging the plate, but that rail is toast.. :-/

yes my nitro and eletric lst both do that all the use tread lock and u will be fine i run stock gearing with xxl gears, and gear swap in trans, with 40c 4s
