I want to install something that would have the same effect as dynamat without the insane cost.

Any ideas?

I want to put this stuff all over the inside of my car. It would cost me well over a grand to do it in dynamat.

People use a thick roofers tar paper.
I was researching it for my install. From what I hear about it you will get about 40% the efficiency at 5% of the cost. Adding additional layers will give you 10% more per layer.

IMO placing the in key areas will be sufficient. If you are entering a contest I could see the reason to use it and use it all over. I just like a little bit of the thump but since I have kids, it can't be too great just clean.
