Hey guys,
I'm not sure where this thread should go... I figured the one that talks about paint and whatnot would be ok.
I'm a total newbie to dying parts. I want to dye my tank/receiver box on my aftershock to be green, similar to the green in the BYT logos. I had my wife pick up some RIT dye a while back and finally got off my hump to try it. I had a few plastic bottles to try it on first, and I'm glad I did.
She got the dark green dye. I read the directions (odd that dyeing rc parts isn't anywhere in them
) put about 3 quarts of water in a pan, heated the water to just under boiling, added the dye, sat a bottle in it for about 5 minutes. It came out a nice pretty shade of blue... Wait... I wanted green? Box says Green. Parts are clear/white... came out blue. Huh...
So, I'm mildly confused and/or retarded as to how to dye stuff. If anyone that could shed some light on this for me I'd greatly appreciate it.
