Sometime along in my r/c nitro career, I ended up with two Duratrax Gold racing glow plugs. I have noticed that these plugs glow a lot dimmer when hooked to a glow ignitor. Anyway, would these be ok for my savage 4.6? They seem to be a cold glow plug. I also have a #8 OS plug, which someone said to use. This is a med-hot plug. I heard big engines like the colder plugs.......

i have been told the same ,small block-med to hot
big block med to cold

exactly what I was told also.

I say that plug should work as long as it fits the appropriate engine. (O.S. engines have a special sized plug)

Try it and find out! It'll run funky with a hotter plug... I found that out in my Sirio .27. I had a hot plug in it and it wouldnt idle or run worth crap! Switched to a cold plug, and bam! A whole new engine just from changing the plug temps...
