Received my new rx/tx 2.4 ghz,and I am needing a Clarification on the use of the steering duel rate adjustment,..is it just a second epa adjustment?..a fine tune? If someone could explaine it to me in laymans terms I would be greatfull.

Dual rate limits the amount of steering or throttle (or whatever is on that channel). Its probably easier to explain using throttle as an example. If you set your throttles dual rate setting at 50% then you throttle will only go from 0-50% of maximum. Or in other words when you have the throttle trigger pulled back all the way at wide open throttle your motor will only being going at half the its maximum speed. Like wise with steering, lets say you set your end points but then want to limit your steering response. A good example of this would be my high speed Rustler. When that kit is going 75+ MPH the slightest movement from the steering servo is highly exaggerated so I set my steering dual rate to 70% that way if I were to turn the wheel all the way to the right it would only be 70% of the way to where your EPA is set. That way I can turn the wheel on the TX a little and the movement isnt as great in the tires thus making it easier to steer at high speeds.

Did that make sense?

Ahhhh,ok verry well explained greywolf,I understood that completely,...so insted of having to adjust both endpoints again if needed, there is a "duel rate" which will technically adjust both left and right at the same time hence the name of the adjustment duel rate

DR shouldnt be used in place of EPA. EPAs should always be set. If you servo is not hitting its end point and is trying to push past where the wheels can turn then those should be set and then if you want to limit steering response then adjust the DR.

What I meant to say was...after you adjust the endpoints proper, the Dr serves as a duel epa alowing you to easily talor the end points"after the epa is set" in one easy step?

I guess you could think of it in those terms but I like to think of the end points as being the maximum amount the servo will turn in one direction or the other and should coincide with where your wheels stop turning that way your servo isnt trying to push the wheels past their physical ability to turn and I like to think of DR as limiting your steering within the end points.

Thanx man I now know a great deal about this ,much appreciated greywolf.

just lurking in this section but thanks for this reply i have been having over steer issues with my 70mph tomahawk st when i went to the beach & hit my top speed was when i noticed the issue I'm going to try adjusting the dual rate setting thanks
