need a new motor to replace the 3.3. I was looking at this picco http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/12591
I dont think I want to go full BB yet because I dont have the $$ for tranny and Diffs. You can't find the Picco .21max kits anymore. I was wondering if this will drop in with a simple motor mount and header swap?

Thanx in advance

also found this one, same questions though, will it drop in easy with just a mount and header??

Picco .26 max

Just put the Picco .26 max into my tmaxx. SCREEMS... Fried plastic spur today, steel by the end of tommorow.. Tower Hobbies has it and its a dirrect replacement, you need new mounts, air cleaner, and reworking of the throttle servo, and thats were I am still adjusting. My truck is all alluminum with a roll cage and this motor flipped it over like nothing.........

if you want to go with a direct replacement, got with an OS .21TM or if you can find some place that sells the older OS 18.TM than you are golden. a little less bite than the picco, but you dont have to replace or modify anything. it just goes right in a thats that.

Don't forget the RB 523, I am drooling over one at the lhs but I really don't need more power for racing. My 3.3 is faster than 90% of the trucks I race against.
Only problem is that it is a lightswitch. 1/4 throttle is the same as WOT.
i am after something smoother for my next mill.
RB Mods is claiming some outrageous results from his mod job on the 3.3.

I bought a Picco .26max, i need to get another pull start because the string pulled out during last tank of break in. I have a new one on order now.

I started on tuning this weekend, got about 1/2 way through the tank and the darn pull start brok again. This time on the 3rd pull the string came out, so I did an on site repair and found out that the springs also break very easily in these things. Got it working until about another couple of runs just barley getting her up to temp and the string gets stuck fully extended. Time to switch to a rotostart. These Ofna pull starts are JUNK!!!
