hey all i got a tmaxx with a osrg .21 and a xtm conversion what in the driveline should i beef up on a budget so nothing crazy I'm looking at kippster diffs and suggestions?

i found the the xtm cvd's suck butt, u might want to upgrade them. I went and got the MIP ones and they work soooo much better.

look to rrp, hcr, dynamite for the trans gears and rrp, kippster, ue for the diffs. stay with kippster for the diff cups and you probably won't shear off the bolts. there are more manufactures than what i have mentioned and most are good.

the mip's rock. i've yet to have a problem.

and yes strech got the tranny and diffs for ya. maybe if u got the $$$ u can hit up Unlimited Engineering SM and get the UE 7.5 diffs. them are nice but spendy.

if what i have does not hold up i plan to get the 7.5's. untill then i'll save the $$ unless you have an xtra set you want to make a deal on.

By the time you get a complete kipster setup with aluminum diff cases you will have spent just as much as UE diffs.

1 kipster diff cup and modified ring gear and pinion is $75.. 1 diff case is at least another $50.. total cost for a whole truck around $250.

Hobby shop NJ has SM 1/8 setups for $243.95 that is the diffs cases bearings and output cups for one truck.

the most common problem that i'm running into are the 4 bolts that screw into the diff cups shearing off. ue and kippster seem to have eliminated the problem. the rrp diff gear kit alone does not seem to work for long without replacing the stock cups. if you go with heavy duty diffs i would recomend kippster and if you have the $$ to spend go with ue's 7.5 set. i'm sure that a forum search will turn up a lot of good info from some very knowledgeable poeple.
