Spotted this short video of a drifting race. I have never seen anything like it (as far as models go.)

I may be wrong, but I believe rc drift racing uses awd. And 1:1 uses fwd.I'm assuming these are rwd due to the steering angle. Completly amazing skill. The cop and 711 are a nice touch.

They have hard, slick tires on them.Out of curiosity, why don't drift cars drive straight like other cars?

Have seen that in person at the Springfield Mile. Very fun racing to watch.This is the type of "drifting" that I used to do.
We keep throttle wide open, control speed by moving weight onto front to go slower, onto back wheel to go faster.
The rear wheel is actually pushing us into the corner.
