ha any one give me some advise i want to make a dragster but not forsure if i want a nitro motor or a pulse engie two of them or maybe a jet one but my little lady say it better run dam fast for 4500 dollars for a engine so am i wasting money on the pulse motors or got for broke jet or make a big block nitro engine. i want to make it four wheel brake and some how to make the rpm about 18000 before take off would a heavy spring be able to do this for me i thoght about a making a push rod belt tensioner that lets the belt spin freely until i hit the servo to tighten and the car flys. yet i have this still in design. any ideals for this would be greatful thanks

I dont think you could strap a jet engine to a dragster. It would not be 4 wheel drive so no need to have belts. 4 wheel braking would do nothing extra on a dragster in my opinion. Just my opinion.

i would only use belts for the nitro engine not jet and the jet i can us just the chasey will be totaly custom made from crom molly alum. and the drakes would be a challenge i know for the back i could put a sold axcel and a disk for it if i do the jet but the price of the jet is it worth it is 4.5 lbs thrust worth it for a pulse engine this is what the seller say's it hits. but a jet is more and a nitro motor well finding one that can produce high speeds that will please me is another so maybe jet but its still in the air for now thanks for your thoughts love to here more from all

It's pointless to use a jet engine. It would take way too long to get to full boost...then once you get there, you'll be about a mile from the track and going way too fast to stop since it'd weigh a ton.

Just use a Wasp .28 and build the car around it. Or get one of the .21 new era model drag car kits.
