Installed the front XS shocks with modified shock towers. I still need to fill them with 60wt oil and put fuel tubing on the outside of the shafts. The front with all the batteries just weighs to much for them right now. Also cleaned up the back end with all the wires. I may be trimming the rear tower a little bit so there isnt as much rake on the body. I do intend on keeping the rear shocks big bores. This truck is about 85% finished, just need to shim the wheels, program the ESCs, fine tune shocks, and cut and paint the new body. As for the body I have another new clear savage GT2 body that ill be using. I stole the last one to fit my nitro truck lol

Trimmed the new body for the truck, I also setup up the rear shocks. I'm using 3 rubber stops inside the shocks filled with 60wt, red rate hellfire springs and one med preload. Nice and stiff but man this truck actually makes this setup flex lol. Overall I'm getting closer to turning it on. The next step is checking batteries and setting up the rear diff.

I'm still waiting. Looks like it will really move. I hope all the work doesn't go out of control and explode but if it dose get it on film.

Nice looking rig.

Haha it will be on film. I hav a small camcorder I'm going to try and mount on it for some better shots.

I also plan to make a small roll bar out of some steel round stock in order to protect the rear end if it flips. At these insane speeds the body won't do jack to protect the hardware

Its alive and running 10s at the moment, need to work out a few kinks, then ill make a pass with 12s

looks like there may be a bit too much weight in the front with the batteries?? seems to spin out under a tiny bit of power. Is there a way to fit XO-1 wheels and tires to it? or would they be any better than what your running.

I am running X0-1 wheels and I need the weight up front. At 100mph without the weight the truck would just flip over.

ok....thats was questions more than suggestions.....i know nothing about building a 100 mph car if it dont sling dirt i dont own them.....lol

Made some passes today!

This truck is soooo much easier to drive than the nitro. I'm going to guess that the weight is the reason. This trucks weighs 16.5lbs compared to 9.5lbs for the nitro. Up till about 80% throttle the truck is still squirrelly, but when I hammer it down the truck instantly locks in place and just drives as straight as can be. Another cool thing is watching the suspension work as it drives by. Its not as stiff as the nitro trucks but man she drives like a dream. I'm hoping that 12s yields 90mph. My temps at 80mph were between 130-135F for the motor and 120-125F for the esc's. As the packs drained I got slower and the temps lowered. Now I could be wrong here, but I'm thinking that with 12s my temps should be lower. If thats the case then I can throw quite a bit more gearing at this thing. Overall I'm very pleased and well on my way to 100mph.

BTW this is now the fastest Flux in the world

Damn! Pretty up that TVP set, sell me one in blue, ill take the funds out of my XO-1 savings

Haha, you know I never did finish these TVPs. I still need to sand them and painting them doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Who needs an X0-1 when you can build a savage that can do the same thing lol, Swap shocks, towers, and wheels and I can go jump if need be :D

thats awesome man keep up the good work can't wait to see 100mph

1:14 it's a leaf in the road

I'm hoping with 12s I should get into the 90s then start playing with gearing from there to reach 100.

Well I pulled the 25t pinions for 30t and gearing will be 30/46 and ill be running it on 12s. I know I wanted to run 25/46 first on 12s but temps were so low on 10s I figured why not step it up a bit lol. Either way it should make for and exciting run.

OUCH!!! Direct hit at 71mph on the first pull. I was standing on top the box and literally face planted. There was no time to react. The truck looks bad but its not really imo. I will rebuild, but lost all 4 lipos

Holy crap! That thing just went nuts when you stabbed the throttle at 70mph. Sorry about the crash, the lipos being toast is the worst of it, or so it seems.

Loss of lots of your aerodynamics with the body and the damaged front end. It's gonna' take some work to get it all tracking straight again.
