So I've never seen anything like this, and I'm curious if anyone knows of something along this idea.
A while back....for reasons....I bought this kit that came with a board, various components and a print of how they are played out on the board for you to solder up...one of these.

I built it, it was fun, and served it's purpose beyond expectation.

Does anyone know of a kit like this for a build your own esc? Could be fun, and something I would probably buy a few of for other reasons....

The above device is a 1 button gadget that when activated sends out the power codes for every TV in the USA. Anything within range goes dark. So you can shut down 40 tvs at once in a best buy...if you needed to...it can be solder together moving 1 connection for all the euro codes instead.

I built mine when I was hustling doordash. If the restaurant makes you wait they don't add it on to your time and the delivery will be late....and your tvs will be dark behind the bar....no matter how important the game is...

And by wait I mean like 25-30 minutes of stting there making zero $$ and getting a late delivery on top.

I don't think there's anything out there that's a component-level kit to solder together your own ESC, but if you get just a tiny bit more technical, you can design your own ESC with MOSFETS and something like this to drive them. SimpleFOC is an open-source software library that can do pretty sophisticated motor control, I meant to explore it but haven't done so yet.

This would be a next level project for me. Understanding component selection vs assembly. I'm sure I could pull something together . .....maybe

There is no reason you wouldn't love it now.....the key to a good life is to die young as old as possible.
 
When I was in college (Applied Electronics) , there was a catalog you could order all kinds of kits from. I built an AM/FM reciever, crossovers, amplifiers, and a remote to control it all. The AM/FM reciever was for a lab test and we weren't allowed to use the Instructions from the kit for the test. Good fun. Ill dig out my books from back then and see if I can find any info.
