Dishwasher and anodized parts dont mix

I just washed all my part in the dishwasher and all the anodized purple parts turned PINK!!!! My rims and back top upper aluminum arms turned bright pink same with the chassis but thats ok its junk anyway. The rims looked like crap so I pulled out the old easy off oven cleaner and stripped them to the bare aluminum. I have been polishing one for over and hour and half and still not done, They are going to look sweet when I'm done but what a pain!! Driver does awesome work it might look easy but trust me its not. Anyway if you ever decide to use the dishwasher take off all the purple aluminum lol, it diddnt do anything to the blue or red on my Maxx. The Maxx looks brandnew though, man that works awesome lol thanks for the idea Clint.

I though it was funny actually gave me a reason to loose the ugly purple andodized rims, I was thinking of taking the purple off for a while now I had a reason to do it lol

Yep you know it, Thats why I posted it lol so everyone can get a good laugh, I will post a pic of my wussy pink arms in a few, well here they are lol the rims stayed pink about for 2 minutes before I stripped them hehe. I will post one of them when I'm done polishing them. Its weird it only turned certain purple parts pink , my bumpers still look the same, must be the quality of the oxodization? :shrug:
