I need a new pair of rims. I want the rims to be dish because 1-I dont want to spend much money at the moment, 2-I hear they are lighter and racers use them, must be ligher. I want to run my big joes again after about a half a year of not being able to due to a bent rim hex. Do any of you know of a pair that will fit proline 40 series big joe tires. 14mm prefered since my rears are 14mm and I will be running two proline mambo rims in the rear since I have 3 that still will work.

You need to go to a bigger hex. 14mm hex proline dish wheels strip the hexes easy, and warp too easily. That's a heavy tire....

I agree on the ProLine hexes. Not just the 14mm either though. I have blown out the 17mm ones as well.

Not caused by loose wheel nuts either. They slip on far too easy which means there is a little too much tolerance to the mounting hex. Over time the play gets worse until the wheel hex strips. It's especially bad using high power brushless due to all the torque generate when you mash the throttle from a dead stop.

I have now moved on to the AKA wheels. They seem to have a zero tolerance and you really have to press fit them on.

I'm using VP-Pro wheels and tires. Lightest most balanced tires on the market. They are really flexible, but never warp. Hexes are a tight fit too.

yes they will , you will need to find 40 series rims and choose what size hexs you want to use.
