You can definatly count me in. I used to live in St. Louis and there are 3 really good Hobby shops there. Hell I can even stay with a friend there and I wont have to pay for a hotel!! YEAH!!! Is it just gonna be a general bash or will it be like laid out racing with various classes?

North Central, Mark Twain, and Checkered Flag. The only hobby shops ever needed in St. Louis.

It is intended to be a "bash" more than anything. However, as I have mentioned in previous posts, we may have some 'for fun' racing depending if anybody is interested. I don't care either way, but it's a bash first and foremost. I personally won't be holding any race discussions before the fact. If we get there and a few guys want to run a heat or two for the heck of it then sure, why not. No reason not to, but I'm not necesarilly promoting it.

You know I might be able to pull this off, let me compare airfare vs driving. Then lay it down to my wife. I just now saw this thread.

Yep, that's precisely why I continue to bump it. I woukdn't be surprised if we get new interest all the up until August.

even my ol lady is interested in going. She's wanting me to get her a Emaxx or an electric savage. She saw the pics of someones savage Flux and she was like.. Its pretty I want one.. "Pretty" (sigh) women. :hehe:

I was just thinking one option is look at people who would be en route and just meet up and car pool. splitting gas could be a lot cheaper then flying. For example lesson is in Ohio I am in Pa, I could drive from I-80 into Ohio meet up with Lesson and then head south to I-70. My reasoning is with Flying your gonna have to rent a car, and who wants to trust there rig to airport baggage. I can see it already get there and your rig is on a plane LA.

I'm hoping to have three cars with me - HPI Baja SS, Traxxas Slash, and AX-10. I'll be racing Lessen on the highway the entire time.

Well I am currently laid-off( Just look what its done to my post count LOL) so that kinda puts a kink in the plan. Now if between now and then things change yeah I expect to make it. My railroad Un-employment is only 275 a week (governed by the Railroad retirement board and hasn't changed since the 70's).

Aww, man... I'm opting to park the Civic Si in favor of the CR-V for the trip. I don't know if I can keep up.... :)

pfft... are you kidding me? of course I can keep up hehe..

Damn man. I hope you are able to get back to work soon. That really sucks bro.

So, just to clear up any confusion..whats the date again?

Also, they are just about finished with the handicapped ramp, for any of our fellow RC'ers who are wheelchair bound. I'll be taking photos of the track next week and posting them up, so you all can get a feel for what your up against, lol.
