Maybe it is the grease reacting with the plastic over a long period. I have seen that a few times. If the housing was blue, you would probably have blue grease.Worst IV even seenabsolutely love it ... Did they use black oil back in the day or something??
I generally put a lighter weight in the front to help it steer better. Too stiff and it will just slide everywhere like it has understeer. But it really depends on the size of your tires, how fast she goes, and other variables. But I would probably try 10k in the rear. I don't have a Savage though, so take that as a general guess.Get you bro ...can you help me not sure what rear and front differential oil to put in my savage I have 5000 weight would it be ok in both front and rear differentials
Not really sure there. Never tried that. Just go with 5000 in both. But that may be a bit light. Just guessing hereWould it be ok if I us two-thirds of the 5000 in the front with 1/3 850 silicone shock oil too thin it out a bit then 5000 in the rear??? Surely it would be ok to mix them
I can't remember if its Losi or Associate but one of em makes black diff grease. I have some somewhere even though I dont use it for diffsMaybe it is the grease reacting with the plastic over a long period. I have seen that a few times. If the housing was blue, you would probably have blue grease.
Np bro Gona put a we drop of 850 in with the 5000 just in the front to thin it a wee bit. iam sure it will be ok...I mean why notNot really sure there. Never tried that. Just go with 5000 in both. But that may be a bit light. Just guessing here![]()
Yes mixing the shock oil and diff oil is fine. They are both silicone based. Only difference is the viscosity. No worries.
