What is the difference between a SG style crank and a regular style crank? Just wondering because I'm buying an XTM .18 to put in my older .15 T-maxx and i need to know which one i need.

Thanx in advance

Well the standard crank has threads on it, i can't really explain it but all i know is that the sg style crank is better.

I can't really help too much, but I had the XTM .18 that comes in the X-cellerator. I had to cut a little off the flywheel nut so it would screw all the way down and tighten the flywheel. It's easy to do.

If I am thinking correctly you may have to cut the end of the crank for the nut to tighten correctly no biggy with a dremel of hacksaw.

I bet if you do a search you will find the answer I belive I read a thread with this very question about 3 weeks ago,

Heres 2 pictures of the XTM .18 engines. I found them on their website. I'm not sure, but I think one has a SG style crank and one has a Regular. Also not sure which is which. But, maybe this will help.
