RC Driving Style
hey guys

my MT2's diffs are horrible, they skip under heavy acceleration and braking, they sound aweful, I've torn them down and made sure all washers were in place, and they were, I'm totally lost and I'm afraid to drive it because it is sounding like its ripping the drivetrain to peices

This is a known problem with the HPI MT2. I have already emailed HPI (since I am considering an MT2) about this problem. This is what they replied:

"There has been a batch of MT2's that left the factory with diff problems.

The problem is that the crown gears on the diff's were not tightened up enough
on manufacturer therefore when they are used and under pressure, the gears come
loose and allow them to slip!

HPI are not issuing harder gears as FOC replacements as we do not manufacture
any but we will replace the damaged ones with a direct replacement!"

So you can just ask HPI a replacement.
