I'm having an issue finding a substance to tune my diffs for what i want and maybe yall can help me out.

what I'm looking for is for my gs storm buggys center diff, revos center diff and my savages front and rear diffs.

I've tried the heaviest silicone oil i could find for the buggy and revo centers and i want even less slipping between the front and rear but i for sure dont want a locked diff action! I've heard of ofna diff lock lube but can't find it and have a question about does it actually do as the name implies?(diff LOCK lube)

I'm running lucas oil red and tacky grease in my savage diffs and still want less slip but not locked action outs these.

any sugestions please guys.

What's the "heaviest" you've used?

I run OFNA 50K in my rigs for bashing. Be it my buggies center diff, my savage front/rear (when I had it) or my aftershock front/rear, I run OFNA 50K.

My buggy will almost pull a wheelie with an XTM24.7 engine with that lube.

I didn't notice any real difference in turning ability on my savage or aftershock with grease vs 50K, but I did notice I get high centered less since all 4 wheels are getting a decent amount of power regardless if one is in the air or not.

100k was the heaviest, my revo will barely pull wheelies and its a 2.5 chassis with a os.18tm?!!! front end spools way faster than the rear? and i know the rear diff is fine its newly rebuilt. and ya i would love for the buggy to pull wheelies it does the same as the revo.

dude that looks just like what i need, read the faq page on their site and said it would offer a limited slip type diff which is just what I'm looking for! thanks yet again today olds.

I know there is 300k and 500k available for center diffs, I think I read it on the Traxxas web-site, but I'm not sure if it's something they carry or if they were just referring to it. I think Scrogg said he uses 500k in his center diff.

No prob man!

That stuff was made to use with the old style traxxas t-maxx diffs. They weren't sealed, but people still wanted slower diff action without having the oil all leak out in a short time. I almost bought some... but I got a savage instead (sealed diffs) and ran 50K normal oil in them..

hummm i think I'm gonna try the stuff olds linked to but if anybody has any links to the 300k/500k or higher please leave them incase this stuff locks them too much.

It's the Revo Platinum that comes stock with the 500k oil.

Here ya go 500k Diff Lube

I like how they give you a squeeze bottle with a tip on it, like it'll ever come out without at least using a spoon. :hehe:
