One day i was running my buggy and though the battery was in place. well think again.lol the battery flew out and the buggy was only 1/4 throttle. as she was hedding near a curb i was freaking out. i was running for the buggy as it was running from me. lol. i kept screaming shi+ shi+ NO NO. then the best thing in the world happened. the gas ran out and just touched the curb.lol

ever had your pack fall out? and what did it do to your buggy.

had one fall out once, but the TRS closed the carb so no problem. i did see a jammin truggy go nuts at the track the other day, though. the pack didn't fall out, but when it landed after a jump, the impact was enough to make the switch slide down and turn off all the electronics. no TRS or failsafe. it almost took a little kid's head off. he wasn't lucky enough to be out of fuel. i guess you got a free lesson, eh? those are pretty rare, let me tell you!

when i first got my nrs4 mt i was running in the street in front my house with out the body on at about 1/2 throttle when a rock it the off switch and cut off my reciever. it was going down the block when i saw a truck comming i paniced. luckily the my mt went under the truck and into a garbage bag full of leaves and junk that was on the street ( must of fell into there). the luckiest day of my life.

This wasn't on a nitro but same thing. Years ago when I had a Kyosho Big Brute, it was the very first drive and the battery pack fell out and was hanging by the wires. My friend told me actually but I thought he meant the 7.2v battery so I figured I'd drive it over to me a few feet away and pop it back in. Well it was the AA pack and the rear tire caught it and disconnected it. The battery pack stayed on the floor and the truck went full speed and partially wedged itself under a neighbors pickup. Broke all the body mounts clear off and a few other small parts.

Scary,no with luck on my side I never lost control of any of my RC's.And battery packs, they are tied tight and the connectors zip tied.May be a pain, and I cut the tie each time.I would hate to witness a runaway disaster.

And you were very lucky to say the least

When I first ran the Big Brute it was before BEC, or before I had it in the truck so I had 4 AA's for the radio and the battery for the engine. The 4 AA's disconnected after going full throttle.

One day at the track a guy was running his hyper 7, and he had forgotten his rx pack so I loant him my backup. It didn't fit in the tray so we mounted it witch with zip ties going round the plastic tub sides.
His comment was "this will never fall off", My comment "except if a rock strikes the zip tie".

So 2 laps later when landing a jump over the table top. The battery fell out and the buggy plowed into a hedge 100ft away.

What hapened. It struck a piece of flint right on the zip tie when landing.:opps:
