Did a Stupid Thing

I was running my Mayhem at the track today and was having a really good time. Everything was working great, jumping the triples and landing it good every time. So, anyway, I was on my last tank before heading home and this guy shows up with a radar gun. He says he wants to see how fast I'm going and I think cool.

I go to the end of the straight with him and he puts the radar gun in front of me. So, what do I do? I go WOT, then I watch the radar gun for my read out and forget to watch my car!! Next thing you know, it jumps off the track and hits the retaining fence. I broke a shock just to see my car go 34 mph. A lousy 34, even!! Why not a higher number to sacrifice my shock.

Lesson learned. Always watch the buggy when you're driving.

BTW...it was my sportwerks .26. I coulda sworn I was going faster than a measley 34 mph. :shrug:

It must have been wrong. That radar gun is probably made for 1:1 not 1:8.

buggys dont hit top speed on a track, though they do go fast enough to jump track and hit fences.

34 is still pretty damn fast man....w/ a fantom .27 in mine I hit 46 WOT on the street w/ street tires.....so figure in the rough terrain slowing me down and all..it's probably right around 34-37 mph on the track.....

The speed you were clocked at was probably correct. Your damage wasn't too bad.

LOL, it looks faster at the track, kinda confined VS out in the open. I had a guy go WOT down the straight this weekend and hit me head on at a dead stop. Nothing broke, well I may have a cracked block from the impact. He was taking an extra lap and I was in last and just finished up and was heading back to the pits..........

Not sure yet, ran like it was lean next round.....like an air leak. I need to replace the tubing and rule that out annd rip it apart. Worst part he said NOTHING. OHH well. We all do stupid things................

lol that sucks man at least he could say sorry or somtin. MAN if someone did that to my car i would be kinda mad. LOL wel anyway hope u get it fixed.
