I am having the tuffest time tuning in my Maxx. Just when I think I have it, it boggs out and dies. I can get the 1st gear to run good, but then when it hits 2nd its boggy and dies. I was trying to tune it today and got so frustraded I just set everything down in the yard and left it. (Before I threw it across the yard :censored: ) I would just be happy if I could get it back to factory settings so that it would run like it should. Someone please help me out and give me some tips on tuning. I'm desperate and VERY frustrated.

I have a really good link for you. I think your problem is that your HSV is way too lean. When it shifts to second it needs fuel to carry it up to higher speeds. Sounds like about half way through second gear it runs out of fuel..let me find the link The default settings for stock should be there.

Anytime you start having trouble, put the needles to stock, and then re tune. It only takes a second to put it back to stock, and it elimates a lot of friggin guess work. I have my stock needles settings memorizzed for all my rigs. sometimes I guess wrongand lean when it needs rich and vice versa.. phh forget it.. go back to stock tune from there.

Yes it does get better with time. Yes, everyone got pissed tuning their first nitro rig.. cept a very select few.
