great story tell another. but seriously, I like them too. It makes the whole truck look really scale, almost like the traxxas slash kind of scale look.

I like them too, I like the whole truck, but if you look at the size of the wheels and tires and their placement outside of the fender, and then you look at the traxxas slash, you will see that the tires on the losi are not at all to scale. I like the Losi truck overall a lot better, but the only reason that I'm considering the slash is because they did such a good job with the scale appearance.

Yeah they clearly are not scale. But I think it gives it that scale look. It definatly looks more scale than a maxx or savvy but it really isn't. And yeah the traxxas slash looks amazingly scale. I like how the tires are under the lid.

This is about the Losi Desert Truck that just came out, and I really like the design of the tires as they look so real to scale.

Yeah it looks pretty cool alright. It says desert truck, but how well do you think it does in sand? Also, how many brownies can that 'desert' truck carry?

I would imagine that it wouldn't do very well in sand. The thing is so light it'll probably just spin the tires like crazy.

So.. were you trying to poke fun at the title of the thread? I'm confused. He spelled it correcly. Desert. Brownies are dessert.

Lessen, I think you might me talking about the 1/36 micro desert truck, and we're talking about the 1/10 desert truck that looks kinda like a mix of the slash and the speed t.

Well no, it was a serious question, sorta. I was partly poking fun and partly asking what kind of weight it could carry. Sorry I should made that more clear.

That would be cool. I think the wheels are too close to the center for a nitro, Or it is impractical in some way. Or else sombody would probably know something about it by now. But I guess its pretty new so its possible. I hope they do!

Crap that Desert Truck looks friggen awesome! I've been outta touch w/ RC for the last year, but between this and the Slash, Its about enough to make me stick with it! As much as I loved my Nitros, I'm not big on lugging everything around so I can go to the track & play, and I don't like annoying my neighbors w/ my Revo (got that super loud Trinity pipe stickin out the rear hehe)

From the specs on teh website I see its got a planetary diff, instead of the typical ball diffs of their XXXT/NTs. Are their shocks / A Arms any different? (They're claiming "Long travel" aluminum shocks) Anybody can slap on a new body and wire up some lights.. I'm curious if this is really an updated truck or just new flash on an old idea.

From some other posts I read, sounds like that Slash may be the Stampede but with a wide molded body.. :/

Just wait until you see the power of brushless electric compared to your nitros. I never thought I would get into electrics, but then I opened my eyes and realized that the brushless is more powerful than a lot of the nitros, and it's so much more consistent. I'm getting out of nitros completely, just large scale gassers and brushless with LiPo for me right now.

Oh I have see it! I dunno, somethin about an engine! Haha. I'm just not sure about goin with another 2wd 10th. My old XXXNT & Jato just aren't any good for bashing.. Great on track tho.. but hell, I'm more of the throw it out in the back yard and romp around for half an hour kinda guy. I've seriously considered converting my Revo to a brushless setup, but I've already dumped enough $$ into that truck!

Ah well, more details on the specifics will be good to read up on! Maybe I wont' sell off all my RC after all!

I will soon be starting on a build thread with my project, it's taken me a few weeks to gather parts because unfortunately, I'm just not made out of money.

If I was made out of money, you can believe I would have a lot more nice RC's, and probably be a double amputee from cutting up my body (get it, made out of money)
