Was a bit convinced to bring it back. If and once I get some decent boxes in and get a few rolls of tape and if I can actually build some ramps that work well and hold up I'll do it again.

Was also thinking maybe getting a rcp track but they are a bit too big for my space and expensive. Also had a thought about getting those interlocking foam tiles and use that as the main surface and maybe building up a mini Z or micro b in the future. Unsure. Or I can basically do the same thing but still find old carpet or turf people wanna get rid of and use it in the backyard and build custom ramps for the 10th scale cars. Thanks @Littlemotor for making me think about this lol.

Yeah, I saw those too. I was like hmmm...I'd love one of those tracks. But can't really justify. I can kinda build my own thing. Doesn't need to be that fancy. But I do love fancy. What's a guy to do?

If you get one, pics or it didn't happen! :)

Diamondback was the best. It only weighed 20 lbs, which was good in the day. Now the bikes are lighter and the kids are fatter.

Just head over the old folks home and hang out. I'm sure some of them will think you're their kin and drop a $20 bill your way. If nothing else you get some apple sauce and a game of checkers.

You forgot to preface it with "I'm just sayin" as in "I'm just sayin your neighbors have a nice car and could probably use someone to make sure it doesn't get damaged."

Some inspiration. I would have sent it off the cliff into the trees, at least three times.
Where is this? I'll bring the beer and the batteries!

Sweet track! (No way in the world the wife would let me build that)

But speaking of BMX, I did build a pump track back in the day. But now there's one down the road. Oh yeah, it's really good.

I miss posts, sorry for late participation...boo me

It's back ;)

Same concept of a table top jump. the ramp going up I thickened it by using 2 pieces of cardboard. Once I get in some bigger boxes ill try to do a wall ride again but don't have enough tape for all of that lol

Wish I had a basement. They pretty much don't exist in Cali. My old (very old) house had a very small external basement, it was good for some extra storage but not anything fun.
Well for Cali, can't you just do something outside? You know it's always 70* and sunny :) I've made some plywood jumps. Painted/protected them, for Colorado snow etc. Easy to take up and take down. Almost like carpet racing. Actually not really, but you could do carpet. My driveway has a ton of traction. I prefer off road. But under 6" of snow and negative temps? Driveway or indoor :)

Almost makes me want to get an on-road vehicle. But hmmm....we'll see.

Since we're talking home tracks. And it's freezing out. And I don't want to work. Here's what the kids did.

We modeled for the pic. So we have this homemade "track". Emphasis on the trigger/brake control. Very tight. On purpose. The rug has tons of traction, the tile. The opposite of that. So keeps you on your toes.

As for vehicles:

2 Losi Mini t's (which are probably the best for indoor and traveling. We drive to ski areas and these are great for just mucking about after hot tub time machine time) In the condo, in the lobby, on the patio. Yes.

3 Mini Losi JRXT's. Not bad.

1 AE MT14. Brushless. A bit fast for indoor, but can do anything.

Track is easy to take up and take down as that's the wife's work out area. (Can't be messing about with that!) :)

Most people find spare change in their sofas, @DavidB1126 finds mini's tucked between the cushions. 🤣
I think I'd just leave them there in the cushions Just like popcorn and cookie crumbs :D Just sayin'

Ewe gross. I just went there. HA

[if you feel like you need to buy a mini, cuz Horizon/Amain has a bogo deal. talk to me first. :)]

The weather is usually pretty good but it gets a bit warm some days. You know Cali weather.
