Mike it is not stock I think you should talk to your parents about this. How are they going to feel about you installing a pipe that is not a factory fit. This is obviously not a Traxxas part because its made by Associated. I would suggest you seek council from your parents on getting a new pipe. X
haha my parents don't care about that stuff its the engine there woried about not a pipe. links would be nice to that pipe you got there

If you go back to the very begining of the post. The first two links I showed you and said this is what to get for less than 30 bucks before you started all the

How about this one

Or what about this one

what do you think about this one..

You know the very first one I listed. Well that is what I am running that is what ncnitro is running that is what Fasteddy it running that is what Backspur is running on 3 of his trucks. Do I need to contiue

Here is a diagram of what people in general run on T-maxx Trucks from my personal experience. And my expeirence is what counts.

And my expeirence is what counts.

Yeah right:rolleyes:

Hey X whats with the Retread like remark,

"And my expeirence is what counts". :D

You should have just said...Nothing beats an AE, lol. Don't get your panties in a wad Retread, just messin with ya.

Seriuosly Mike X is right, just get the AE and Duratrax header for $30 and you will be very happy. Most expensive does not mean better. I also tried the Jersey big tube, avoid that one, it interferes with the rear suspension and cost tripple what the Duratrax does, not to mention he has gone to a cheaper manufacturer and the new ones are crap.

hey I'm coming in on retread's boat from this side of the pond.
CVEC's top drawer!

Had mine on with Fantom ,CVRX and ported TRX and it rocks with all of them.

Chazey,
Are you charging your CVEC with some tire Juice?
This is a new one to me and am interested in the outcome.:D

Nice looking rig.....

Knucklheads! :) Jeez - somehow, somewhere you guys all got some wrong friggin impression of me...

Let me try something simple:
- I don't believe that my opinion is the only one that matters.
- I LIKE hearing other opinions.
- My statements are simply an honest reflection of my personal experiences.
- I DON'T like pre-formed opinions and biases that lead to immature slams and flames.

Did I lose anyone? We're all fighting for the same thing here - to have fun and get the most out of our "little toys".

'nuff said?

Huh? What brought that on? If it was my post Retread I was just kidding around after the other days debate, you see where it says "Don't get your panties in a wad, I'm just messin with ya" We all bust on each other here, it's just part of the fun.

why did you only use the traxxas one once? is it bad or something?

I just sold my Traxxas alum pipe. I would rather run the AE with the DurraTrax header. More low end.

However, let me just say, the alum Traxx pipe IS BETTER for high end than the AE. Period.

Well it would be just look at the taper on the pipe, that long slope is designed to extract more power at higher rpms

Personally I want more low end punch

I personally ran the AE pipe with the NJ Big Tube header (not the new version) and loved that set up.

My T-Maxx sounded bad ass, and ran so much better.

I also ran that same setup for a short while, it was a great combo but... When I went to a smaller clutchbell it would rub againt the spring and a-arm. It actually melted a small divit in my arm and rubbed the powder coat off the spring. I was concerned about radio glitches from the pipe rubbing the metal spring so I changed to the duratrax.

What are you running now WoodiE

I no longer have the T-Maxx...though yes the old Big Tube header did touch the RPM A-Arms until it finally melted a small dent into it :-\ Though I never had any problems with the springs or any other suspension part.

Now I sit around...waiting for my Savage.

Eddy,oh no the secrets out about using the static electric build up on the tires to preheat the cvec baffel to gain more performance!LOL.

Seriously didn't bother to disconect the hump charge lead before taking pic. Funny never noticed it before.

The truck only looks so nice and clean 'cause Christian shamed me into cleaning it. :D

my favrite set-up that i have run is a duratrax big tube header with the traxxas tuned pipe because the big tube header is low and the traxxas pipe is high it mixes nice and gives me great all around performance

james

p.s. i run ported pro .15 and get wheelies on commaned and still have lots of top end around 36-37 mph stock gearing too
