Hey guys, well the jeep is gone. My next rig is going to be either a TF2, glelande, or the Gmade sawback.
First off what should I look for? I have seen many builds on here of the tf2 and I'm really liking it! That being said I am interested in weak points(such as driveshafts) that you guys have run into.

Can't wait for the build man! I am working on selling off some more nitro stuff so I can get a TF2 kit myself.

just the driveshafts, i have ran mine quite a bit, after i changed them i havent had any problems, make sure when you start the build to pull the front and rear axles apart check the mesh, and grease good, along with the transfer case and the transmission, mine were dry. its a very capable truck, i have some stuff to mine to make it even better, shooter links, weighted the tires. you will also need to vent the tires, after i got mine put ont he wheels they felt like they has 10psi in them, Great truck, fun build....ENJOY!!

Sounds good! Man I can't wait, I'm debating on getting the yota body or the defender. Are the only differences in the tf2 and gelande kits the body?

What's the deal with the Tamiya f350? What makes it so expensive? Looks like it's Philips hardware, and a lot of plastic.

IMO Tamiya F-350, Tundra, and Yoto kits are nice rigs with a lot of details in the building process, the performance is also scale to a bone stock truck. The kit use more metal than you think and they are heavy when compared to other scalers (I never held a TF2) but they are not built to perform in rough off road conditions.

I have been considering another scale rig too but haven't decided if I want to buy a kit or piece something together. I'm looking forward to see what you do!

I read about it for the first time today, it looks like a nice rig. I have owned several gmade products and they were all quality parts.

Gmade is nice stuff, I'm really liking the R1, been eyeballing them heavy here lately.

Took the plunge. Ordered the tf2 and some yellow shock boots. Call me crazy but I really want to replicate the Pizza planet truck from you story. I feel that it would be awesome and since it's one of my all time favorite childhood movies to only makes sense.

As tmaxxfreek has posted in his build thread, the back of the cab doesn't mate up properly, thus leaving you to do some "bondo" work. Have to fill in the gaps on each side. If you don't get it centered you'll have an offset rear window. Being the idiot I am, i didn't pay attention when i glued it in and didn't have it centered. It's hardly noticeable but I can tell. Looking at the rear view, the right side is wider than the left. I'll get a better pic when i take it out tomorrow. It's not off by much, but enough to drive me freaking NUTS!! lol

You'll see what I'm talking about when you start your build. Nice kit but body fitment didn't really impress me. But, this is the only one i've done so it may be awesome compared to other kits.

I will watch for that. Next question is what motor and esc should I get? Can I pair a Tekin fxr esc with a hh motor? I will be running on mainly mountain bike trails and in the woods.
