Well here are a few pics of the carnage that was the result of falling off the indoor crawler course from about 8' up onto a concrete floor landing on the rear axle, my new 3.5" rear shocks that I am trying out, and my new 3/8" delrin lower links.

It happens, what you gonna do, LOL!!!! I figure it will cost about $30 and it will be back up and running....

I kinda wondered if crawlers ever broke things but 8' to concrete will do it to most anything!

I've managed to break the axle housings on mine a few times, and broke the mounting ears right off the servo once. I think it just has to do with their intended environment, and the fact that most failed runs result in tumbling down rock piles.

That sucks bro! Add that too the list of the hundreds of dollars it takes to keep an all out comper on top!

Yeah it was a $17.99 for the new axles and $11.19 for the axle housing and another $4.99 to ship the parts, LOL!!!! gonna try to not fall from 8ft in the air again, LOL!!!!

thats a shame IMO. I had a cheap e-firestorm that i would launch off a ramp and let it cartwheel over cement and all i ever broke was gears and an axle cup. On all of the high dollar rigs i have owned, they all took serious beatings and only broke when something pretty extreme happened and none broke when going less that 25mph.

Not talking about your rig specifically but just in general, you should be able to throw your rig up in th air and let it fall on whatever you want and not have any breakage. These things cost too much to be broken so easily.

Don't get me wrong it has taken some pretty good tumbles and not had any problems, but the way this one fell off of a man made elevated crawler course from about 8ft + in the air landing vertically on to the back axle hitting a concrete floor and it weighing about 6.5lbs I am surprised it did not do more damage then just a broken axle housing and a bent axle...

no excuse. :D 8 feet isn't that high.

I am just giving you a hard time. I am used to sending my rigs airborne and letting them smack the ground at at every angle possible. It just seems funny to think of a rig thats basically static falling from 8ft and breaking. Thats like having one of rolex's rig fall off the shelf and breaking. lol

CARNAGE! Thats what I like to see haha. Just make sure you have it ready for the next comp so I can beat you. ;) jk man.
