Okay well after the first bashing that i have been able to do with my savage I have came across a couple questions.

1) I'm running 14/52 gearing on the truck with a metal spur gear. Well this is the second clutch bell that I have completely smoothed out and was wondering what do you guys recommend as a good bell that i wont smooth out and still give me wheelies?

2) Right now I am running a Protech 21 racing buggy engine in the savage 25, I am getting a good deal on a 32 Ofna and was wondering will it bolt right on to the mount?

3) I don't like the the stock shocks on it and was wondering will these shocks work good on it? http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDVL1&P=7

4) The rear diff is locked, and locked with JB weld. I have to completely buy a new diff for it and was wondering what you recommend for it.

Well thats all for now, but more to come in the future!:surrender

loose the metal spur, stick with stock shocks.and buy yourself a savage x diff off ebay, and install it in your housing.

Get a "Hardened" or "Heavy Duty" bell. Pretty much the same thing. Stay away from the vented bell.

Yup, direct drop in. Just mount your clutch and go.

Yes, they'll work on it. However, there are some people that claim to have issues with them. They're definitely a lot better than Integy!

The stock X diffs are a direct fit. Look on eBay for one of the chop-shoppers and you can get a whole diff for cheap. Since you're thinkin about the Ofna32, look into upgrading the front diff as well. Look for the X-SS diffs, as they have a metal case, which will keep you from having to open them again.

I've run OFNA hardened bells against steel spurs with good success. They cost a bit more (~@20), but they hold up pretty well.

If your going for a bigger/more powerful engine, you will more than likely want to up the tooth count on the bell. But you can only go so far before the engine moves over so much that it hits the chassis tvp. Which is when you buy a smaller spur...

A real simple question real quick

I completely took apart the truck and the radio box has a spot for one more servo, whats it for?

The X has the spot for the reversing servo. I have the X center case in my savage, with the reverse module. It's a sort of a slow one-part-at-a-time X conversion project.

Another question,

Would one of you guys possibly be able to paint a body for me? You order it, paint it ad then i pay for it from you? I can't paint the bodies very good at all so this would be a great favor.

How do you waterproof the electronics? I live in Washington where its wet all the time and don't want nothing shorting out on me.

You can put the receiver in a balloon. As for your clutch bell golden horizon works well I have had one in mine for a year now and still no problems.

The servos you can get rubber for tool handles from Lowe's. Dip them in that and allow to dry. Then Cut out the gear and you are done. The engine well it is not a sub. As for a body you can get one on eBay. But you said you are a bash er so your bodies don't last long. Take the chance to keep trying. If you have a problem with paint running or how to tape ask for some help. Gust don't give up we all were bad at painting at one time. Practice makes for better bodies.
