could it just be tuning?

well today i found myself with no nitro,, FAIL!!! and was heading to a big ass parking lot. so weant to the closest traxxas dealer which is the closest hs and they had no 33% they had vp 30%, i think I'm gonna go to it. it ran great and is 10 cheaper than the traxxis. i paid 24 bucks instead of 35 for a gallon. and since i was in a big ass parking lot, different fuel,, so messed with the tuning some more. and that truck screams now.. plenty of power. and the motor ran cooler. to get it to run 230 even it it was so lean that it would cut out at full throttle. now it wheelies in both directions.. I'm very very satisfied. now I'm thinking that maybe i should extend the body. it comes up so easy now.

put on a wheelie bar and i think you will change your mind on the extension.... Thats what happen to me :)

Well bc of the nature that I'm used to doing wheelies. I love the scrape of a bar on concrete so I'm making my own. I hope it goes as planned. Will be in another thread cause I'm bout to make my own aluminum numbers with some aluminum I have laying around in the garage.

if your gonna continue to run 30% u may wanna think about adding a shim under your head or the top of your piston will become pitted the extra nitro makes more combustion so ot requires a little more space to combust.

well its ran 33% traxxis nitro since it was new.. i just weant to this vp 30% seems to cool a lil better too.. I'm running more on the rich side bc it only has 9% oil content.. and not knowing what traxxis puts in theres would rather be safe than sorry, still has good power. and keeping my temp around 225 to 235 from what i can gather.. i really dont like the temp sensor I'm using,, seems a bit scattered at times. its colder today so i think I'm at like 41/2 turns out on the high side... but besides all that. i normally charge my batteries when I'm done playing. but in the middle of tuning the red light on the truck started flashing at me.. i can turn thw wheels but wont give any throttle or brake. is it just a safety feature for when the battery on the truck is going dead?
