Not too much to 'build' on these, but I did buy the roller version, just because I could add my own Hobbywing electronics cheaper than the HW stuff that comes in the RTR.

I wanted to go with the 4268-2600kv motor in this as I plan to run it mostly on 4S. I had the Quicrun 8BL150 ESC on hand but had to order the motor... should be here next week.

I was just looking at this rig. Please let us know how you like it after the first rip! I’m very intrigued😀
@AjDale .. I did a quick writeup/review of mine over on the Arrma forum, the thread is called Ahoy Shiroi..

Edit: I now have a build thread for mine on RCTalk

Will do... I've been well pleased with my Asuga and Kagama models which is why I got the Shiroi. These things are built extremely well compared to most other brands I've owned.

Any particular reason why you are going with a 4268 size motor?

Just becasue that's what Hobbywing offers in a 2600kv that pairs with their ESC I have. It will run on 4S 99% of the time, so I wanted a slightly faster motor than the stock 2050kv. I have the HW 4274-2000kv in my Kagama and it works great with those larger tires. The Shiroi uses the same chassis/drive line just shorter arms and smaller tires, so giving up a bit of torque didn't worry me.

It might be a bad choice, it might be perfect for my use... time and testing will tell. It wouldn't be the first mistake I've made in this hobby, for sure.
