I use a little lock ease and I mean a little. Lock ease also helps repair battered threads. You should be able to tap the block though.
 
okay well i finally put everything back i bought a new crankcase and a new carburetor no leaks at all runs great!! thanks for a the feedback and help!
 
put in my new crankcase no leaks whats so ever. that 3.3 is a screamer! haha thanx for the support everyone.
