Too expensive!!! Besides I get all the duct tape and zip ties I could ever need from the Army. Did I just say that??? I mean I buy each and every zip tie I use and every roll of duct tape I use.

July 15th deadline. I gotta get hoppin. Prolly head out to the hardware store tomorrow for my lunch break.

Never saw this all the way through. I still had a little drilling left to do, but you get the idea. As if two shocks per wheel wasn't enough, try adding four.

You don't have any binding as a result of 2 different compression points from a like pivot point? I really like your idea, much more inventive than the diskman-t-maxx hybrid, IMHO.

Good catch El Pirata. I'm sure it would bind at some point in it's travel. The project didn't get the attention it deserved. I'm sure with some fancy math and some cracker jack box engineering I could solve any binding problem that would come up. Maybe add a sliding mechanism on the bottom mount of the two additional shocks giving them more linear movement.

I'd mount the tops of all the shocks (on one corner) to a cantilever or seesaw with the pivot point mounted to the shock tower. Probably 4 plates with 3 hole in each. Center hole is the pivot. Mount one shock to each end. Seems to me that any differential in throws would be compensated by the seesaw.

This is my GS Storm Buggy after some tinkering.
Cost: $5

First one has a HPI NMT body mounted on it, 4 body mounts and all, I can pick it up by the body, it's really secure, and second picture my buggy is 2-3 inches wider without spending a dime.

did you screw the body mounts to the shock towers or something?

I used the NMT body posts, scred the rear one on the shock tower, and the fronts I used longer screws for the shocks and screwed them on the ends of the shock mount. Everything lined up PERFECTLY, no squeesing or pulling mounts to fit in the holes. Same exact mounting holes as the NMT!

hey man all of these are great and all but I rember reading on the first page "Create the most wild and innovative R/C Modification, Add-on, or Body using standard household items. Use 1 or several items to complete your project. They must be items found in your home and made of non R/C parts." And not to say I told you so but I think iam the only person that did use house hold items except Darthracernot to rain on your party or anyting just saying. ohhh and Humboldt that sig :jet: must of been a family get together:breakdown
