I am going to be redoing some of my savage, but I want to paint the body yellow and black(It's a huge favorite of mine) and I am going to DE/RE anodize the metal parts on the chassis.

My question is this, what colors anodizing would look good with yellow and black?

I don't like the way yellow anno looks so that is out I think, but I am still painting the body yellow and black.

I like silver, but most of it is already silver.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I didn't know if I should put this in GC or the Savage forum, if it needed to go in Savage only then I'm sorry about that.

RED!!!!

It would be like the best team in the NFL....STEELERS!!!

I am thinking about going with a black powder coated chassis or getting it black chromed.

I'm going to be doing a few chassis in black powdercoat. I don't know why people don't use powerder coating more often in the RC world. I find it holds up much better than anodizing and I like a lot of the custom colors, A LOT.

AMEN brother your preaching to the choir.

A nice shiny polish would look good, I think I may do that.
Black anno does look sweet as well, I'll see what I can come up with!

I've seen it done with an RC solutions cage where the guy powder coated the tvp's and the cage yellow. Looked friggen killer. Made me think of a combine... not sure why... but I really liked it. If I could find pics (from 4+ years ago when I saw it), I'd link them up so you could see, but I can't find them.

Oh, by the way, I'm pretty sure black and yellow go with yellow and black. ;)

OMHO, polished silver would look out of place on a black and yellow rig.

Well, plans changed!
I think I will powder coat the metal like Charlie said. it should look nice, hopefully.

well if your bashing/racing right, colors shouldent matter at the end of the day because everything should be dirt brown.

I like the powder coating idea to, but make sure you have screws in all of the holes or you will have a hell of a time getting them in when you go to reasemble it, either that or you will need a tap to clear the threads out in all of the holes...

Lol! black and yellow huh? that's so crazy it just might work!:hehe:
Sorry, I missed your post before.I like polished silver, but I see what your saying. I would rather not do it with yellow and black.

:hehe:
Maybe I should skip a step and just paint it turd brown to look like mud.
That way I can leave mine on the shelf like Rolex, but still act like I run it!

Sure give Charlie the credit. Thanks

I had to give him all the credit. Charlie's THE MAN!

lol, but seriously thanks every one for the idea, I can't wait to get to powder coating!

Sounds great, I've been reading up more on powder this thing and I think I know how I am going to do it.

I will hit up the LHS local hardware store:hehe: for a lot of screws because I need a few extras so I will buy some to plug the holes:)

Thanks for the info!
