Hey guys, just wondering is the color of ur glow plug dictated by the fuel u use at all? My plug is a brown with almost a redish tint,and the element is still shiny silver. Sound a little rich maybe?

Anyone? I was just wondering cause i never really noticed the redish tint b4. Or should i shoot a pic maybe?

What color is the fuel your burning? If its red then that would explain the reddish tint. Other than that the color on plug and top of piston should match being a golden brown or caramel color. Any darker is signs of running rich. Any lighter with pitting and black to blueish colors indicate lean and too hot running. This is my opinion and if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will jump in and correct me.
