From what i have researched, my clutch has gone bad or something.. Honestly those words clutch.. and gone bad.. when they hit my brain, i think a BIG ???
Here is the issue I'm having.. NO matter how much i adjust the idle.. slow speed or high speed in any bit of maner..i just can't seem to get my nitro rc car to nuetral.. without spinning tires... and if i manages to get to a point where it wont spin the tires, the motor shuts off on break or when the wheels stop.
I was wondering if this could be because of a leak in my gas tank.. or a reason being that my clutch is BAD... oy..

Help is appreciated thanks

Oh, yeah, shoot, I didn't even see the leak part. Definitely check that part first. :)

What kind of car is it, btw?

maybe u guys can help me out with that one.. cause where i bought it.. it doesn't show up anywhereon the face of this earth

but yea.. i just actually talked to one of my buddy friends... lol buddy friends.. and he said it has something to do with the transmission.. i've gotta w8 for a replacement gas tank
and after the gas tank gets replaced.. I'm prolly gonna send it back. and request a brand spankin new one.. (LIKE THIS ONE SHOULD'VE BEEN)

But if u guys could help me out with the manufacturer of this car.. that'd be great

The add for your car stated, The car is 90% part compatibility with other brands such as Traxxas, HPI & etc. so maybe you could find a new tank, or clutch or what ever parts you need from one of the above companies or just hope they will exchange it for you, if I were you I would probly just see if you could get a full refund and buy some thing name brand that has good parts support, IMO...

It sounds like you have a dragging clutch. Take the bell off and see if anything is broken inside. Don't worry, it's not spring loaded, and won't go "BOING" like a jack in the box.

If i do take the bell off.. is this just confirming that i have a bad clutch.. or is there a way to fix it

It could be anything from bad bearings (they'll fall apart as you take the bell off) to bad shoes/springs (you'll see broken pieces). Then again, it could be as simple as a spring not in a groove.

Ok well lets start with the basics..
What are the chances, if i were to fix the leak in the gas tank.. that the car will work.

I'm a total newb to rc but i just fixed a firestorm with the exact same problem and it was a broken clutch spring like everyone said if there is a gas leak u def need look at it first but i'd almost bet ur clutch spring is broke if u can't get it to idle in one spot without stalling
HTH:bandit:

Well i'm praying for a clutch spring to be dead or something cause i just sent it back.. and I'm gonna hopefully get store credit.. and get the 4-tec 3.3
