clutch gear alignment

I'm changing out an engine combo using the clutch bell from a truggy and mounting this into a buggy. The spur gear does not align up in the center of the clutch pinion but closer to the rear (nearer to the clutch bell). As long as the gears are properly meshed, does this pose a problem or should I be seeking out different motor mounts to center these gears?

As long as there's roughly 80% of contact, you should be fine.

Ya on second look, my spur gear is running just off the back of the pinion. I'll change the flywheel and see if that makes a difference.

Used a Hot Bodies flywheel, not sure what i had before but that moved everything back a little so it seems I'm go to go....in 3 months...maybe
